| Function |
The saw unit of a circular cross-cut and mitre-box saw is raised from its base position by hand and pressed onto the surface to be sawn. The saw blade is then guided through the material from this position. |
|
The movement of the saw blade consists of a linear and a swivel motion. The movement mechanisms of the device are fitted with springs that act in the direction of the initial position. A spring also draws a cover over the saw blade as soon as it is withdrawn from the material. This device acts as a safety feature. |

For making mitre-box cuts, the saw unit can be swivelled horizontally to left or right by up to 45˚. The unit can also be tilted from the vertical to the left by up to 45˚. The saw is suitable for cutting wood, non-ferrous metals and plastics. |
