| Function |
The deep hole drilling machine is used to drill holes in the end faces of shafts up to 4 m long. The holes can be up to 180 mm deep and 10 mm in diameter. In addition to drilling, the machine can be used to chamfer the shafts and holes. In deep hole drilling, the bit is supplied with coolant under pressure either adjacent to the tool or through the tool shank. The coolant also flushes the swarf out of the hole. |

The control panel can be moved by hand over a distance of 6 m along the machine. The operator can therefore always take up an appropriate position in relation to the workpiece. The panel must move smoothly and without stick-slip in order to avoid disrupting operation. |
